I was born in Derbyshire, central England, lived there for most of my first 55 years, and
20 years ago moved to San Diego. After graduating in Electrical Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, I became a computer systems engineer and later focused on interactive online learning. For over 40 years I ran small businesses in these fields. My amazing wife and I have seven boys, thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren between us, and we are now both retired.
My roots in systems engineering have always encouraged me to break everything down into its constituent parts and to consider the interfacing between those parts as a means of understanding the whole. I became a Christian about two decades ago and now apply this approach to understanding my faith. My search for truth led me to Biola University, where I studied for my MA in Christian Apologetics. I hope that my thoughts will be of value to others in helping to understand the power and complexity of our Lord, the nature of His plan for mankind, and His incredible love for us.
